Formed in 1949, the American Business Women's Association
(ABWA) is a national association whose mission is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support,
and national recognition.
The Berkshire Charter Chapter is a tax-exempt local league chartered in 1983 by the national association which shares the ABWA mission and benefits to its members locally.
